Sponge iron prices across major markets increased by INR 50-300/t. Trade volumes were recorded at around 13,500 t.
BigMint’s billet index edged up marginally by INR 100/tonne (t) d-o-d to INR 37,800/t exw-Raipur. The conversion spread from PDRI to billet for standalone induction furnaces in Raipur was assessed at INR 14,550/t.
BigMint’s domestic end-cutting scrap index, tracking the Mandi Gobindgarh market, increased by INR 100/tonne (t) d-o-d to INR 35,800/t DAP.
