BigMint’s bi-weekly domestic pellet (Fe63%) index for Raipur, decreased by INR 250/t ($3/t) to INR 9,750/t ($110/t) DAP. Deals for around 115,000 t were concluded.
BigMint’s billet index extended its upward trajectory, increasing by INR 200/tonne (t) d-o-d to INR 35,100/t exw-Raipur. The PDRI-to-billet conversion spread for standalone induction furnaces in Raipur was assessed at INR 12,050/t.
Sponge iron prices across India increased by INR 100-400/tonne (t) d-o-d. Daily sponge iron trade volumes were estimated at around 16,000 t.
