Bhutan’s Cement Company Invites Bid for 30,000 MT Coal Purchase

The Dungsam Cement Corporation Limited (DCCL) also known as Dragon Cement, Bhutan is a subsidiary company of Druk Holding and Investments Limited, which is an investment arm of Royal Government of Bhutan (RGoB). The company has invited a tender to purchase 30,000 MT coal for its plant site with +/-10% variation.

Material specification:

1. Useful Heat Value (UHV): 5500 kcal/kg min
2. Ash content: 22% max
3. Moisture content: 10% during Oct-Apr and 14% during May-Sept
4. Sulphur content: 2.5% max
5. Coal size: less than 400 mm

Eligibility criteria:

1. Bidder shall be an eligible Bhutanese/Indian firm or incorporated legal entity.
2. Bidder shall not have conflict of interest.

The bids shall be rejected if:

1. Integrity Pact is not signed by authorize person.
2. Bid bond is not sufficient.
3. Incomplete form of bid.
4. Price schedule is not signed.

Bid submission due date: 15:00 hrs on 20 Jan’16
Bid opening date: 15:30 hrs on 20 Jan’16
