BHP’s iron ore production rises to 284.1 mn t in FY’21

One of the world’s leading iron ore miners, BHP Group, produced 284.1 mn t of iron ore (on 100% Fe basis) in FY’21 (Jun’20-Jul’21) on the back of record production at Jimblebar, despite significant weather impacts.
The miner’s output was recorded at 72.85 mn t in Q2 CY’21, down 4% y-o-y.
BHP’s iron ore production guidance for the 2022 financial year dropped to 278-288 mn t on a 100% Fe basis. The Western Australia Iron ore (WAIO) operations continue to focus on incremental volume growth through productivity improvements.
