Bangladesh: Thermal coal imports rise sharply in Mar’25

Bangladesh’s thermal coal imports stood at 1.75 mnt in Mar’25, registering a sharp 166.5% rise from 0.66 mnt in Feb. Y-o-y, imports rose by 60.8% compared to 1.09 mnt in Mar. Indonesia remained the top supplier, shipping 1.63 mnt, followed by South Africa at 0.06 mnt.
