Bangladesh’s Directorate General of Food (DGoF) received strong participation in its latest parboiled rice import tender for 50,000 t. According to sources, India’s Bagadiya Brothers Pvt Ltd emerged as the lowest bidder, offering rice at around $359-360/t CFR Bangladesh. Bangladesh has been actively procuring rice from overseas markets in recent months to ensure food security amid tight domestic supplies and weather-related challenges.
