Bangladesh: HRC imports rise by 105% m-o-m in Jun ’21

Bangladesh’s bulk HRC import volumes increased sharply by 105% m-o-m to 102,089 t in Jun ’21 as against 49,861 t a month ago, according to bulk shipments data maintained with SteelMint.

• The major exporting nations were Japan, Malaysia and China.
• As tracked by SteelMint, monthly average HRC offers from China stood at $997/t CFR in Jun ’21, down by $78/t compared to $1,075/t CFR in the previous month.
