The Baltic Exchange’s dry bulk index increased by 208 points to a 2-week high of 2,144 on 13 Oct’25 against 10 Oct’25. The overall index rose, as gains in the Capesize and Panamax segments, driven by strong cargo demand and tight tonnage, outweighed a dip in Supramax rates.
- Capesize: The BCI surged by 593 points to 3,392.
- Panamax: The BPI rose 42 points to 1,806.
- Supramax: The BSI fell 2 points to 1,400.
