The Baltic Dry Index recovered by 2.3% (35 points) d-o-d to 1,567 on 16 Jan’26 after hitting a 6-month low yesterday. The rise was driven by an improvement in bulk demand, with Panamax and Capesize segments leading the rally, while Supramax showed only marginal improvement.
- Capesize: BCI increased 2.3% (49 points) to 2,224.
- Panamax: BPI rose 4.3% (60 points) to 1,458.
- Supramax: BSI increased 0.4% (4 points) to 967.
