The Baltic Dry Index fell d-o-d by 0.7% (14 points) to reach 2,024 on 17 Mar’26, pressured by weaker Capesize sentiment amid limited iron ore fixtures and cautious chartering activity due to geopolitical tension.

• Capesize: BCI declined by 1.3% (39 points) to 2,888.
• Panamax: BPI up 0.9% (17 points) to 1,853.
• Supramax: BSI declined 0.9% (12 points) to 1,256.
