BALCO Offers 37,670 MT Scrap through Auction on 28 May’16

BALCO, a Vedanta Group subsidiary, has invited bids for tender cum auction for sale of MS/SS/Aluminium & other scraps in Korba, Chhattisgarh.

One of the leading aluminium producers in Chhattisgarh state, BALCO, has put forward an auction in order to sell various scrap items, including MS, SS, & aluminium. The tentative quantity of the material is 37,670 MT. The company intends to sell these items through tender cum e-auction on 28 May’16.

All material will be available in different lots at BALCO’s plant located in Korba, Chhattisgarh. The material will be available strictly on ‘As is Where is’ and ‘No Complaint’ basis. It mainly includes various workshop machinery, mixed MS scrap, SS scrap, CI scrap, mechanical items, aluminium scrap, various lab equipment and other materials.

Aluminum scrap: 1,558 MT
MS Scrap items: 965 MT
SS Scrap: 31 MT
Other: 35,116 MT

Important Dates & Time (IST)

Inspection date: From 18 to 27 May’16 between 10:00 to 15:30 hrs
Tender (Bid) submission due date: 27 May’16 up to 17:00 hrs
Online auction date: 28 May’16 from 10:30 hrs

General Conditions

1. Material will be sold at fixed price by the seller. Also, the seller is not bound to accept the highest offer and reserves the right to reject any conditional offers.
2. Buyers will be responsible for loading and lifting of the material.
3. Material will be disposed off in ‘As is where is’, ‘No Complaint basis’, and ‘Wet, Dry or Rusty’ conditions.
4. All taxes such as excise, sales tax, TCS or any other taxes will be charged extra at the time of delivery. Offered rate shall be exclusive of all taxes.
5. Buyers shall not be allowed to resell any lot or part of goods.
6. Purchasers for which CST is applicable will have to submit C-form at the time of lifting of material; otherwise full sales tax will be charged.

Last auction: BALCO had last conducted its tender cum e-auction for sale of approx 550 MT MS scrap, 3,039 MT aluminium scrap and 39 MT SS scrap on 11 Mar’16.
