Australian premium hard coking coal prices were recorded at $560/t FOB on 5 Mar’22, up $54/t d-o-d and $103/t w-o-w. Meanwhile, Australian low-volatile PCI coal prices stand at $450/t FOB, up $30/t d-o-d and $90t w-o-w. However, US High Vol A prices are at $445/t, up $45/t d-o-d and $50/t w-o-w. Robust buying interest and tight supplies amid the Russia-Ukraine conflict resulted in sharp rise in prices.
