Australian premium hard coking coal prices rose by $15/t d-o-d to $350/t FOB on 1 Feb’23. Prices rose amid supply tightness because of the closure of rail corridor in Queensland and wet weather in Australia. In addition, strong global demand also supported prices. However, Indian buyers remained on the sideline amid elevated offers.
