Australian premium low-volatile hard coking coal prices have risen by $43/t, or 14%, on month, to $358/t FOB on 4 Jan’22. Prices are increasing in the wake of supply crunch due to heavy rains in Queensland, Australia. Although participants returned to the market after the New Year holidays, limited cargoes are available for Feb loading.
