Australia: Glencore withdraws from Valeria coal project

Glencore, the major mining company in Australia, has finally withdrawn its plan for Valeria coal project in central Queensland. The decision was taken due to increased global uncertainty and company’s zero emission goals. The open cast metallurgical and thermal coal mine was estimated to produce 20 mnt of raw coal manually.
