Australian premium low-volatile hard coking coal prices increased by $1/t to $396/t on continued supply tightness amidst strong restocking demand in ex-China Asian markets. Meanwhile, a strong thermal coal market and persistent problems with availability of spot pulverised coal injection (PCI) as well as semi-soft coking coal contributed to surging prices, with tradable levels at $300/t FOB for Australian PCI.
