Australia: Coal shipments from Port Hay Point fall by 4% m-o-m in Sep’25

Port Hay Point recorded coal shipments of 3.15 mnt in Sep’25, down by 4% m-o-m as against 3.28 mnt in Aug, as per the official press release.
However, coal shipments increased by 4% against 3.02 mnt in the year-ago period.
The decline in coal shipments from Port Hay Point in Sep’25 was mainly due to minor port and rail maintenance disruptions, along with softer metallurgical coal demand from key Asian buyers.
