Australia: BHP plans to extend coking coal mine for another 93 years

BHP is going to seek approval from Australian government for extension of Peak downs hard coking coal mine by up to 93 years as the future of green steel technology looks distant. The miner expressed its idea to focus on reducing emissions by carbon capture from traditional blast furnace steel production rather than completely replacing it with hydrogen.
