In India, imports of the coal have remained insignificant due to the lackluster demand prevailing in the country. The sluggish demand arises on account of the buyers preferring alternate fuels. According to the data gathered by CoalMint Research, only 16,910 MT of the coal was imported in India so far within this month. The lone consignment was procured by Rawmet from Russia through the Haldia port.
