Anthracite Coal international offers have dipped slightly owing to the lower demand in global markets. In India, there was, however, almost no demand as buyers preferred alternate fuels.
The latest Anthracite Coal offer is assessed at around USD 127/MT CFR India, which is lower than the week-ago offer by approximately USD 3/MT.

The Indian market has continued to remain sluggish and there seems to be no prospect for any improvement in the demand in the future.
IMPORTS
Anthracite Coal imports in India were insignificant due to the lackluster demand. During the 1-26July’17 period, only 67,430 MT of Anthracite Coal was imported in India, data collected by CoalMint Research shows.
The importers were: Jindal Steel and Power Limited, Tata Steel and Indo Germine.
