AM/NS Calvert – a 50-50 joint venture between ArcelorMittal and Nippon Steel has ordered a continuous caster from Primetals Technologies for their new steel meltshop located in Calvert, USA. The caster would be able to produce 1.5 mn t pa slabs to feed its existing hot strip mill.
