Brazil’s Manganese Ore Export up by 8% on Y-o- Y basis in CY16

Recent trade statistics released by Brazil Customs show that Brazil has exported around 0.23 MnT manganese ore in Dec’16. Albeit witnessing a decrease in export by 23% in Dec’16 with contrast to Nov’16 , there has been surge recorded on Y-o- Y basis.

Brazilian Manganese ore export volumes in the month of Dec’16 also increased by 3% Y-o- Y. In 2016, the country exported around 2.1 MnT manganese ore, up by 8% as it was approximately 1.9 MnT in 2015.

China stands out to be the largest importer followed by Argentina and France with recorded imports of around 1.85 MnT, 1.2 MnT and 0.52 MnT respectively in CY16.
