Though overall growth rate of Steel production was low in May due
to weak demand from Middle East and North Africa, major export markets.
But, production of Billet in Turkey continued to rise in May.
Production of Billet in May was 2.34 million tones that was up
by 8% from April and by 3% in May last year.
Turkey produced 11.16 mt of Billet in Jan-May which was an
increase by 1.4 mt or 13% y-o-y.
