In Northern China, Billet offers showed some downward trend today, irrespective of hike in prices the day before in line with that of finished products.

But there was limited buying for finished products at increased offers which impacted Billet markets.

Sellers had put sales of Billet on hold at lower levels from sometime.

Billet prices were anticipated to stabilise on limited availability of stock but few trades pulled offers on the downside.

Current levels are at RMB 3,600/t ($566/t), down by RMB 10/t ($2/t) in Tangshan city of China for Billet, grade Q235 of 150*150mm.
