BigMint’s bi-weekly domestic pellet (Fe63%) index for Raipur, rose by INR 150/t to INR 9,700/t ($108/t) DAP. Deals for around 15,000 t of pellets were concluded by local producers at INR 9,600-9,700/t exw-Raipur.
Indias sponge iron (DRI) prices edged up by INR 100-300/tonne (t) d-o-d across major regions. Daily trade volumes declined further, by 23% d-o-d, to around 5,550 t.
BigMints billet index rose by INR 100/t day-on-day to INR 40,750/t exw-Raipur. The PDRI-to-billet spread for standalone induction furnaces in Raipur was assessed at INR 16,200/t.
