Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) has scheduled a chrome ore auction for 108,400 t on 19 Jan’26, with the offered volume up marginally by 1,600 t m-o-m. Base prices of most grades were reduced by 1% (INR 223-286/t) m-o-m. However, prices were increased by 4% (INR 434/t) for below 40% grades. Lower ferro chrome prices in Jan’26 and selective buying could have led to lower base prices m-o-m.
