ERW patra pipe (41-60 OD) prices showed down trends w-o-w in Raipur and Mandi Gobindgarh. Prices in Mandi fell by INR 500/t w-o-w, while Raipur prices declined by INR 100/t w-o-w. Current pipe prices are at INR 45,900/t in Raipur and INR 47,000/t in Mandi Gobindgarh. Listed prices are ex-works (exw), excluding 18% GST.
D-o-d, prices fell by INR 100/t both in Mandi and Raipur.
Weekly average prices
Prices in Mandi as well as those in Raipur fell compared to the previous week.
Raipur: Prices stood at around INR 45,900/t exw on Friday, down by INR 100/t from INR 46,000/t on 4 April.
Mandi: Prices fell by INR 500/t, w-o-w on Friday to INR 47,000/t compared to INR 47,500/t last week.
Market updates
Raw materials prices rise: HR strip (patra) prices fell slightly by INR 100/t w-o-w to INR 45,600/t exw-Raipur as on 11 April compared to INR 45,700/t exw-Raipur on 4 April. Likewise, patra prices in Mandi declined up by INR 500/t w-o-w to INR 46,000/t exw compared to INR 46,500/t exw a week ago.
Steel billet prices in Raipur went down by INR 600/t w-o-w to INR 41,850/t exw on 11 April, compared to INR 42,450/t on 4 April. Also, billet prices in Mandi recorded a decline of INR 450/t w-o-w to 43,950/t DAP on 11 Apr, compared to INR 44,400/t DAP on 4 Apr.
Outlook
The ERW Patra pipe market stayed slow last week, with weak demand and cautious buyer sentiment. Prices fell in Mandi Gobindgarh and Raipur as buyers held off on bulk purchases, preferring to wait due to ongoing price fluctuations.
