India’s Crude Steel Production Up by 4% in Apr’16 Y-o-Y

According to World Steel Association (WSA), India’s crude steel production for Apr’16 is recorded at 7.80 MnT, up by 3.9% against Apr’15. However, on month-on-month basis, India’s crude steel production fell by 3.1% in Apr’16 against previous year.

Global crude steel output has fallen by 0.5% in Apr’16 Y-o-Y basis and is recorded at 134.91 MnT.

While China’s crude steel production increased by 0.5% in Apr’16 at 69.42 MnT, Japan’s production was also up by 1.2% at 8.50 MnT Y-o-Y basis.

However, Russia’s crude steel output fell by 0.4% in Apr’16 against corresponding month of previous year and is recorded at 5.89 MnT.
