Indian Chrome Ore Export Tender Awarded at USD 172/MT FOB

MMTC’s tender for export of 2,500 MT chrome concentrate has been awarded to Sara International Pvt. Ltd.

Metal & Mineral Trading Corporation (MMTC), a state owned trading house, is one of the major global players in the minerals trade and single largest exporter of minerals from India.

The company had invited interested overseas buyers for purchase of 2,500 MT chrome concentrate (50/48% Cr) of Indian origin, through its export tender, for shipment between 25th March-10 April’16.

The material has been offered by Tata Steel, Indian origin. This tender expired on 15 Mar’16, and has been awarded to Sara International Pvt. Ltd. at USD 172/MT FOB Vizag Port (Andhra Pradesh).

MMTC Yet to Finalize Global Tender for 15,000 MT Chrome Ore Exports

In another export tender MMTC had invited interested overseas buyers for purchase of 11,000 MT Friable chrome ore (50/48% Cr) of Indian origin through its export tender. Later the material offered was increased to 15,000 MT. This tender expired on 16 March’16. However, the company has yet not decided on awarding the tender.

A decision on this is expected to be made in the coming week.

The material is offered by Misrilall Mines Pvt. Ltd. (MMPL), Paradip and the shipment period is by 31 Mar’16.

IDCOL Chrome Ore Tender

Industrial Development Corporation of Odisha Limited (IDCOL) had invited bidders for sale of 10,000 MT low grade chrome ore (below 30%). However, no decision has been taken yet on finalizing this tender.

The last date for receipt of bids was 14 Mar’16.

Also, the last IDCOL tender for low grade chrome ore, held in the month of Feb’16, had been cancelled as there was less participation.
