“In a span of eight to ten days, Billet prices are expected to increase by Rs 1,000/MT due to rise in demand”, remarked Mr. Nimish Gadodia, Managing Director at Scan Steels Limited, Odisha.
“Billet trades have been limited for last few months and manufacturers are offering at more or less same prices on factors such as rains in Karnataka, ban on sand mining in Andhra Pradesh, weak buying of finished steel and less supply of coal, resulting in poor infrastructural development in the country”, he added.
