“Vizag Steel is to set up a 10 million ton per annum
(mtpa) iron ore beneficiation and pellet plant at Bhilwara, Rajasthan for which the
investments is being planned out”, said Mr A. P. Choudhary, Chairman and Managing Director.
“The company is dependent on NMDC for
availability of the raw material i.e. iron ore for capacity expansion from 3 mtpa to 6.2 mtpa.
The Government of Rajasthan is to allocate a 320 mt iron ore mine to Vizag Steel at Bhilwara, on which some concession is being anticipated by the company and formalities
for which is to be almost completed by the Mines Ministry soon”, the official added further.
