Indian sponge iron prices witnessed a modest uptick on 28 March ranging from INR 100-300/t in all key locations. PDRI market prices closed at a range of INR 25,900-26,700/t and CDRI prices, at INR 27,000-31,300/t. About 11,400 t of sponge iron transactions were recorded in the country on 28 March compared to 23,950 t on 27 March.
Prices of Indian ferro silicon (70%) decreased by INR 1,100/t ($13/t) w-o-w as compared to the previous assessment on 18 March. According to BigMint’s assessment on 27 March, the price of ferro silicon in India was INR 100,600/t ($1,207/t) exw-Guwahati.
