BigMint’s weekly price assessment for sponge iron increased by $1/t reaching $363/t CPT Nepal for FeM 80% (70:30 Mix). Offers for Bangladesh rose by $4/t to $372/t CPT Benapole. Approximately 3,100 t of sponge iron were sold at $336-341/t, LTW from eastern India, equivalent to $360-365/t CPT Nepal. About 6,000 t of sponge iron were sold to Bangladesh at around $370-375/t CPT Benapole.
