According to the latest data from the International Aluminium Institute (IAI) the alumina production in Dec’23 has surged to its highest level in nearly four months, reaching 12.29 mnt, marking a 3.7% increase from 11.85 mnt, m-o-m. Similarly, it increased 5.1% y-o-y from 11.69% in December 2022. Notably, China, as the primary alumina producer, accounted for 7.09 mnt, indicating a 3.4% increase from the preceding month’s 6.86 mnt.
