IAI reports global alumina production decline in Feb’24

According to the latest data from the International Aluminium Institute (IAI), the alumina production in Feb’24 fell by around 7%, reaching 11.08 mnt from 11.90 mnt, a month ago. In contrast, it increased by 6% y-o-y from 10.45 mnt in Feb’23. Notably, China accounted 6.27 mnt, indicating a notable drop of 5.7% m-o-m in Feb’24.
