Indian private steel major, Jindal Steel & Power Limited (JSPL), has recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the government of Andhra Pradesh to set up a 3 millon tonnes per annum (mtpa) steel plant near Krishnapatnam port at an investment of INR 10,000 crore. The company will also invest in renewable energy projects as well as a slurry pipeline.
