India: Essar Minmet receives EC to set up 14 mnt/year pellet plant

Essar Minmet Limited (EML) has received environmental clearance (EC) for an instant proposal to set up a new pellet plant near Paradip in Jagatsinghpur district, Odisha, to produce 14 mnt per annum (2 x 7 mnt) of iron ore pellets. The proposed pellet plant will produce both blast furnace grade (70-75% of total output) and direct reduction (DR) grade pellets for the international and domestic markets.
