Indonesia: Steel billet exports rise sharply m-o-m in August

Indonesia’s steel billet exports rose 115% m-o-m to 247,936 t in Aug’22 against 115,503 t in Jul’22, as per customs data.
With 137,938 t, the Philippines was the leading importer, followed by Taiwan at 41,222 t.
Total export volumes fell by 32% y-o-y to 1.38 mnt in Jan-Aug’22 as against 2.02 mnt in the year-ago period.
