Indonesia’s billet imports rise 15% m-o-m in August

Indonesia’s steel billet imports increased by 15.35% m-o-m to 238,392 t in Aug’22 against 206,670 t in Jul, as per customs data.
Oman was the largest exporter at 132,456 t followed by Russia at 20,602 t.
Cumulative import volumes inched down by 1.44% y-o-y to 2.19 mnt in Jan-Aug’22 as against 2.16 mnt in the same period last year.
