Turkiye: Ferrous scrap imports rise by over 15% m-o-m in August

Turkiye’s ferrous scrap imports were recorded at 1.6 mnt in Aug’22, up by 17% m-o-m from 1.37 mnt in July, as per SteelMint data.
The US continued to be the largest supplier at 281,207 t, followed by the UK and the Netherlands at 235,126 t and 229,500 t respectively.
A total volume of 15.24 mnt has been imported by Turkiye in Jan-Aug’22.
