Leading primary aluminium producers, Balco and Hindalco, raised aluminium ingot (P1020 grade 99.7%) prices by INR 2,000/t ($25/t) on 10 Sep’22. After the revision, Balco’s effective prices stand at INR 213,500/t ($2,684/t) while Hindalco’s prices are at INR 208,750/t ($2,624/t). The recovery in spot prices and futures supported the price hike despite a sharp rise in stocks by nearly 9% d-o-d.
