Shipbreaking melting scrap prices in Alang, Gujarat, remained stable d-o-d. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 44,000/t exy. Scrap prices remain stable despite the lack of trades in semis and finished steel. However, in the late trading hours yesterday suppliers saw an improvement in the prices of semi-finished steel, which provided some support in keeping scrap offers stable today.
