In a confirmed deal, 55,000 t of Russian 6300 NAR (56%FC) coal has been sold at INR 17,000/t ex-Mangalore. The vessel, reportedly bought by a sponge iron manufacturer, will arrive in September end. Cost-competitive Russian coal has been in high demand among Indian buyers. A total of 229,650 t of Russian thermal coal arrived at Indian ports this week, CoalMint vessel line-up data showed.
