Taiwan: Steel billet imports up 28%, m-o-m, in Jul’22

Taiwan’s steel billet imports rose by 28.4% m-o-m in Jul’22 to 0.36 mnt from 0.28 mnt in June, as per data recently released by customs.
Russia was the largest exporter with 0.21 mnt, followed by Japan with 0.11 mnt.
However, import volumes fell marginally by 7% y-o-y to 2.32 mnt in Jan-Jul’22 as against 2.5 mnt in the year-ago period.
