South Korea: Hyundai Steel trims domestic scrap purchase prices by $8/t

South Korea’s major steel mill Hyundai Steel will cut its scrap purchase prices on 2 Jun’22 for the Dangjin, Incheon and Pohang steelworks, as per Steel Daily.
The company will slash purchase prices of all grades of scrap by KRW 10,000/t ($8/t).
With this cut, the price of weight A scrap is at KRW 632,000/t ($511) for the Incheon works, while it is KRW 645,000/t ($521) for the Pohang works.
