Japan: Nippon Stainless increases the 300 series prices by JPY 80,000/t ($618/t) in May’22

Japan’s Nippon Stainless Steel Corporation (NSSC) raised the price of 300 series and heavy plate stainless steel significantly in May. The price of 300 series and heavy plate stainless steel was raised by JPY 80,000/ton ($618/t), in consideration of its alloy charging system, such as the increase in the average price of LME nickel, as per SteelDaily.
