Tata Metaliks has increased basic grade pig iron prices by INR 1,000/t ($14/t), or about 2.2%, as per SteelMint assessment. Fresh prices are at INR 45,900/t. Prices are exw-Kharagpur and applicable for the Kolkata and Howrah markets.
The rise in domestic pig iron prices resulted from an increase in coal and steel prices along with the resumption of pig iron exports.
