South Korea: POSCO’s stainless steel export sales drop sharply in Nov’21

According to the Korea Iron and Steel Association, POSCO produced 185,553 t of hot-rolled stainless steel products (including black coils), while sales of HR stainless steel were recorded at 95,195 t in Nov’21, down 0.9% y-o-y. The decline in total sales was mainly because of the decline in export sales which, at 39,564 t, decreased by 35.1% on the year. Domestic sales accounted for 55,631 t – an increase of 558.6% y-o-y.
