Heavy structural steel prices in Raipur surged by INR 500/t today. The current offer for 150 mm channel stands at INR 50,500/t exw. Rise in steel billet prices in the region along with improved buying enquiries and trades in heavy structural steel allowed manufacturers to hike offers. However, suppliers are offering trade discounts hovering at INR 800 – 1,000/t on a tentative basis, sources informed.
