The Raipur market in Chhattisgarh, one of the major manufacturing hubs of steel wire rods (5.5mm) produced via the induction furnace route, witnessed moderate buying enquiries today. Suppliers kept offers stable to INR 46,700/t, while INR 1,000-1,200/t trade discounts were also offered. Rising steel billet prices in the region supported trading activity today, sources informed SteelMint.
